About Us

Behind the Scenes

The Barnes Community Players is a flourishing, local theatrical group from Barnes and surrounding areas. We currently stage three to four shows each year, two at Kitson Hall and two at the OSO Arts Centre. We also organise workshops and theatre outings, parties and events. We’re a friendly and social group and are often to be found down the pub after rehearsals!

We are always looking for new members to join our group, either as actors or as part of the production team and we welcome people of all ages.

We have a range of talents within the group and over the years we have tackled a variety of productions including musicals, modern and classical plays and pantomimes. We have several talented directors in the group, together with a strong musical and choreography team.

Apart from the fun we have - and hopefully the entertainment we give our audiences - an important part of our mission is to donate funds each year to charity. Since 2000 we’ve contributed £60,000 to local charities, including schools and community centres.

We are governed by an elected committee.
